How do I open the level 1 & level 2 doors on (I think it's) Mission 5 to get the PSI sniper rifle from the armory? Thanks

I went into the deck selector and equiped teliko with both of them, and when they came up in her hand, i put them in her 'equip' boxes. with that done, the doors open like regular doors for her, just let her stand infront of the doors and make snake run through.
