How do you use the metal detector? i've tried holding it above parts of the ground that beep but nothing happens, please help me i'm really really stuck!

for all yall who wants to know how to use the metal detector here is how it works keep searching around and then the light on the bottom of the detector changes color first it is blue and then it turns light blue which means ur close it will then turn white which means its right there click on more and it will say dig then ur controller will vibrate and u got ur treasure.
