To beat Hades, you should be at least at level 50. He has 5 gauges of health (the first one being purple) and this purple gauge takes a long time to get down and lots of people think they're not doing any damage to him, but once you get past that gauge, the rest of the gauges go down fairly fast, and he's pretty easy to kill. Hades turns 2 colors- blue and red. When he's blue that's when he's most vulnerable and he doesn't use many strong attacks so don't hold back on your attacks when he's blue (just a note, but although Hades uses fire attacks, blizzard doesn't do much damage to him- normal attacks hurt him the most). But, after you hit him enough, he gets angry and turns red. When he's red, less damage is done to him when he's attacked and he does stronger attacks. His best attack when he is red is when he goes to the center of the arena and starts spinning around in circles, while shooting fire out of his hands. This attack does a lot of damage and the fire stretches over the whole arena- you can't dodge it by dodge rolling or by jumping over it. The only way to dodge this attack is to run the same way he's spinning so the fire doesn't hit you (you'll know what direction he's going to spin in by what direction he leans towards before he spins). While he spins Hades is invincible so don't try to run over to him and hit him. It won't do anything and you will probably just get hit by the line of flames. After he spins a few times he will throw fireballs at you and you can either dodge them or use Guard which will not only block them but send them back at Hades and do damage to him. After this, he calms down and Hades returns to his blue color. Do the same thing as before and attack him until he gets angry and turns red again. Keep going through this same cycle until you kill Hades. Although Hades seems hard at first, as long as you heal yourself when you need to and you are at a fairly high level, this is a pretty easy battle as long as you know what to do.
