Place the object to be duplicated in your inventory and save the game. Start a new game with two characters. Give the other character the item to be duplicated. Then, load the game. You and the other character will still have the item.

Warning: This cheat stops working after awhile. After the first one or two times, you must play to get either a level up or a crystal to get the first persons items back. After four or five times, you will not be able to get your items back.
