If you use R2D2 or some outher astromech droid, you can simply go over to an enemy turret and press the R button. Hold it for a while and you should be able to control the turret with the d pad and fire with the B button. To stop controling the turret press the A button. Take care, after you stop controling it, it will start fireing again.
